Media tries to mock a Bubba
CNN has a story about a 10-month old boy in Chicago being issued a firearm ownership card. His grandfather gave him a shotgun as a gift, and his father did the responsible thing of acquiring the necessary paperwork.
Why is this on the front page of CNN? Maybe I'm biased since my brother and I were given matching shotguns when we were 3 and 1, respectively. If you want to make a big deal out of this talk about how it is the responsible thing to do and discuss how the boy's family will teach him how to safely handle the gun. Don't do a short story intended to mock the Illinois State Police for issuing a permit to a toddler when there is no age limit on gun ownership in Illinois.
